DOUGLAS P. BELL
WE ARE ALIVE FOUNDER
Mar. 9, 1961 to Nov. 5, 1999

Doug was born in Queens, New York. At the time of elementary school his family moved to DeQuincy, Louisiana where Doug was raised. After a short term of service in the military, Doug received an honorable discharge. He attended college at Northwestern University in Louisiana. Thereafter Doug moved to Texas and attended Texas Lutheran College and San Antonio College while he worked. Doug was always interested in acting and performed in several theatrical productions, TV shows and commercials. After college Doug got into business for himself and was successful. Doug helped out individuals in need and supported charities during his time in business. In 1998, Doug decided to start a charity called WeAreAlive™, to assist terminally ill persons. From the inception of WeAreAlive™ to the time of Doug's passing, he was a full time volunteer and major contributor for WeAreAlive™. Doug was a member and also a concil member during the 1998 and 1999 terms at River City Living Church. After Doug's death he was inducted into the Kingston's National Registry of Who's Who 2002 Edition. Doug is missed by many friends and family. We will continue to strive to make WeAreAlive™ the charity that Doug envisioned it to be.
WeAreAlive™ has established the Douglas P. Bell National Memorial Fund. Those who wish to give a monetary gift in memory of Doug may do so by submitting their gift to WeAreAlive™. The names of donors of $300 or more will be etched into the Douglas P. Bell Memorial Marker.
